Long live the dead! Viva la Muerte is a spectacular, international, theatre, dance and music performance. Local actors from Groningen and musicians and dancers from Mexico come together in this special Op Roakeldais production. They take the public on a trip trough the different fases of the Mexican history and the universal theme of death. In the play the young Peter learns to look different on the death of his father. Is death really the end? Or are your dear ones still near as long as you think of them?

In the show play, music and dance alternate. In different ways something is added to the altar. The dialogues, sometimes with a bit of humor, give you insight into the Mexican cultural heritage. High standard dancing, a full Mariachi orquestra and talented actors tell the story of Peter’s Quest.

The show will take place in the small theatre on the Festival. There are only 90 seats. For now there is only one show planed. So save a seat and buy your ticket quickly. To see the show you need to buy a COMBI-ticket, to get access to the festival and the production. If you already have a ticket for Friday night or a Passe Partout, you can buy an EXTRA-ticket.
