Compañia Estesis Danza

The name “Colombia” is derived from the last name of the Italian navigator Christopher Columbus. It was conceived as a reference to all of the New World.

The professional dance company Estesis with excellent dancers and passion to represent Colombia and is based in Bogota, the capital of Colombia. The company just build their new rehearse room and they are very proud of this amazing place.  

The groups show the diversity of dance and music of Colombia and are very well known for their beautiful performance of the Mapalé. A rousing Afro-Colombian dance that has reached Colombia through the slaves, mostly from Angola, and symbolizes the fishermen after a long day of work.  During the performances you can´t sit still and you just have to move your body on the melodies of the Cumbia!

The live musicians and the dance group will have a special spot on the Latin night!
